Arusha Coffee Farm Excursion

Arusha Coffee Farm Excursion

A coffee farm excursion can be arranged around Arusha on the slopes of Mount Meru, or in villages on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, depending on your route, available time, and preferred location.

This is a relaxed local experience for travellers who want to see how Tanzanian coffee is grown, prepared, and served, while spending time with the farmers and families connected to the farm.

Coffee Farm Experience

During the visit, you spend time on a small local coffee farm and learn how coffee is grown and prepared from the plant to the cup.

The experience is guided by local farmers or community hosts, giving you a direct look at the work behind each cup of coffee. Depending on the season and the farm visited, you may see coffee plants, pick coffee berries, learn how the beans are pulped and dried, and take part in roasting or brewing.

A locally prepared lunch may be included or added on request, followed by a fresh cup of coffee at the farm.
