This 2-day Tanzania camping safari is a compact route for travellers who want a real safari experience without a long itinerary. It pairs Tarangire National Park with Ngorongoro Crater, giving you two strong wildlife areas in a short, practical journey from Arusha.
Tarangire brings the classic dry-country landscape of northern Tanzania, with baobab trees, open woodland, the Tarangire River, and large elephant herds often moving through the park. Ngorongoro Crater then gives the route a completely different feeling: a volcanic caldera with grasslands, wetlands, Lake Magadi, and a dense concentration of wildlife on the crater floor.

Your 2-day itinerary
Arrival Day
You will be met on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, then transferred to your hotel in Arusha for dinner and overnight.
Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your safari begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive and picnic lunch. Tarangire is known for large elephant herds, baobab trees, and seasonal wildlife movement around the Tarangire River.
Ngorongoro Crater and Departure
After an early breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Later in the afternoon, return to Arusha for airport drop-off. An extra Arusha overnight can be arranged on request at additional cost.
