This 3-day Tanzania camping safari is a strong short northern circuit route. It combines Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater, giving travellers elephant country, forest-and-lake scenery, and the crater floor in one compact safari.
Tarangire is the dry-country start, known for baobab trees, large elephant herds, and seasonal movement around the Tarangire River. Lake Manyara adds a very different habitat, with groundwater forest, acacia woodland, hot springs, swamps, birdlife, baboons, elephants, and the tree-climbing lions often associated with the area. Ngorongoro Crater closes the route with a full descent into one of Tanzania's most concentrated wildlife areas, where grassland, wetlands, Lake Magadi, and crater walls create a memorable final safari day.
